Blaine's first trip to the ZOO!

Hey Steven, today was Blaine's first trip to the zoo. It was such a fun, HOT ,humid day! We have not talked much today but I have been really busy as you know. Gretchen, Mom, Baby, and I went at about noon today and Blaine loved it. We looked at lions, zebras, crocks (he loves), birds, fish, everything! We all had such a good time. I was telling him where this one kind of snake came from, China, and he almost said it! It was a "Ch" sound and a "na" sound. We are working on it. Then mom was growling like a lion and Blaine started growling!!! It was so cute. Man do I wish you could be here but I took a lot of pictures for you. I will post some and email or send you the rest in the mail! Oh yeah, I turned into a butterfly too! Love you so much! Talk to you soon I hope. Go Spurs!

Back to School, Back to School

Well today was the first day of classes for summer one. I enjoyed getting back to school even though I don't like the long drive! My car is really starting to poop out and a new car is very much needed. August will be the month I get myself a new one and not soon enough! Anyway, school will be fun for the next 5 weeks! We will be doing a lot of computer stuff (it is a technology class) and I will be learning how to use technology to my advantage instead of against me! Steven and I have not talked much today so I really miss him but I know he is busy and stuff. Until next time!

My Day with Mr. Blaine

Well Steven, as you know yesterday was hard for us. It was the day we had to say goodbye to one another for a very long time. But I tried my best to stay busy and not let things get to me too much so I spent my day with my second favorite person besides you! I spent my time with Blaine. I got to my sister's at 5am and slept for about 2 1/2 hours until Blaine woke me up and got into bed with me. We had such a fun day together. We had lunch, went to Hobby Lobby, and SWIMMING!!! He is getting really close to me and liking me a lot. I am going to teach him your name when he starts talking and he is sooooo close! I love you so much and can't wait to talk to you whenever you call again. One is the wrong way. I don't know how to fix it yet. Sorry.

We are engaged!!!

Last Friday night, May 25th, Steven asked me to marry him!!! We went out to dinner (to Chili's) and then we went Ice Skating. It was sweet because it was a recreation of our first date when we met. It was really nice and something I will remember FOREVER!!! I can't believe after 3 long years (almost, 3 years on July 5th) we are finally engaged! I am so happy. I just wish he didn't have to leave so soon. BUT it makes it exciting to think that when he comes home we will begin to plan a wedding!! Mark your calendars for about July 18, 2009.

First Day of the Deployment

Today I dropped Steven off for his deployment at 3 am!!! It was so early I don't even remember anything!!! Just kidding. It was a very emotional goodbye with lots of crying, on my part and Steven tried to stay strong but I knew he was very upset. He called me from the plane to tell me he loved me and that he already missed me. I know that this deployment will be a lot harder than the first one since we are so much closer now than we were last time. I love him so much and already miss him greatly. Hopefully I can see him one more time before he leaves for good one way or another. Steven, I had some pictures to put up but its not working right. I will try again later. Love ya!

Here are some of the most recent pictures taken of our family. Many are of my (megan's) nephew Blaine who is 19 months old and the joy of my life, besides ,my Steven. I will be spending A LOT of time with him while Steven is gone because Blaine makes the time fly! I will also be going to school at UTSA and working a lot more. Hopefully all of this will keep me occupied and the year will go by in the blink of an eye. Also there are moer pictures of Me, Steven, his cousins (Jade, Lily, and Rayn) and his sister Astrud. Hi, my name is Megan and this is a blog as to keep my finacee attached to the "goings on" that are happening in San Antonio while he is on his second tour in IRAQ. We will miss him very much and can't wait for him to be home again, in our loving arms. He is my best friend and partner and I will miss him soooooo much while he is gone. I wish him a safe journey while he is there and back home again.
